Casper De Vries on The Anne Hirsch Show

The Anne Hirsch Show

Season 3 Episode 7

Definitely the weirdest interview we’ve done, but we had the most fun! Casper De Vries announced that he’ll be bowing out of the stand-up comedy world, so we explored some other possible career paths….of course nothing goes as planned when Casper is around.

A special thank you to Annie’s Angels costume hire in Cape Town for all their support.

MK Awards Had Yokes For Days

Musings

I had the absolute honour of presenting the MK Awards on Saturday with the dashing and daring (courageous and caring…) Jean Jordaan and Bouwer Bosch. Despite my efforts at channeling Lady Gaga, the yoke was on me…but I still had an eggcelent time and they pretty much gave me free range to do what I wanted… So many egg puns out there!

Here are some pics of my outfits… I never get attention for what I wear so grant me this moment.

Pictures by random Samaritans and the great Sean Brand.

Bobby Skinstad on The Anne Hirsch Show

The Anne Hirsch Show

The Cape Town Tens is the world’s biggest Tens rugby tournament. So what better environment to interview the hashtag hottie Bobby Skinstad in. The Bobmeister has represented the Springboks 42 times and is still one of the sexiest players…also he is totes into Naas Botha, he went on about it for ages!!!

Festival-Goers Pronounce ‘Mamphela Ramphele’

The Anne Hirsch Show

On Tuesday 28 January, Helen Zille announced that Dr Mamphela Ramphele would leave her party, Agang, and be the new presidential candidate for the Democratic Alliance. Five days later, on Sunday 2 February it was announced that Ramphele had reneged on their agreement. It was in those five days that DA supporters learned they had absolutely no idea how to pronounce their new leader’s name. This video footage was recorded on Saturday 1 February at the Up The Creek Music Festival outside of Cape Town.

A huge thanks to Up The Creek and all the volunteers in this video. And btw, we also have NO IDEA how to pronounce her name…
