The Anne Hirsch Show with Colin Moss (Halloween)

The Anne Hirsch Show

Colin Moss on The Anne Hirsch Show S01 E12

Booooooo! Haha! You got such a fright! Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you but it is Halloween after all. The time of the year where we celebrate the 1978 American low budget slasher horror movie, ‘Halloween’ starring Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis in her film debut. What an amazing movie! Remember Jamie as Laurie Strode and boy oh boy could she scream, which kind of seamlessly segways me into today’s episode…Colin was so frightened you can almost not see it… (know that I am ending this post with an evil Halloween movie laugh).

From Isidingo, Fear Factor to Top Billing and Idols, Colin has become a bit of an instutition in the SA entertainment biz and although he is incredibly talented he is also incredibly hot…like in HOOOOHAAAA! BAZAMMMO!! He’s an actor, presenter and comedian with a heart of gold and the body of a Greek God. Check out his website here and follow him on Twitter @ColinMossSA . And now watch us scare Colin into such a state it would put Jamie Lee Curtis to shame.

A big thank you to Annie’s Angels costume hire in Cape Town – they rock our rented cotton socks!

Emo Adams on The Anne Hirsch Show S01 E11

We had so much fun in studio this week we were beside ourselves…literally, we were like standing there next to ourselves, looking at ourselves, being all like ‘Hey sexy, this is awesome!’. There are two things you need to know before watching this episode, Dirty Dancing is the best movie ever made and never play leapfrog with a unicorn. Also, if you would like to become an official sponsor of The Anne Hirsch Show, please don’t hold back. Step forward. Show yourselves!

Emo Web

Emo Adams is one of SA’s top performers. Perhaps best known for his acting work with David Kramer and the late Taliep Pieterson, Emo has taken SA by storm with his sharp wit and even sharper talent.  Producer, musician, actor, comedian, dancer of note and singer of other notes, Emo is one big glass of sexy and off course tall, dark and Afrikaans! Episode 10 – we are finally in double-digits and we give this week’s guest a perfect 10! It’s no coincidence that I am writing this post at 9.50am, which if you say out loud is ’10 to 10’…now that’s just plain magical! What makes this episode even more magical is that it’s our ‘XMAS IN OCTOBER’ episode. Just like our potential future sponsors; Pick’nPay, Woolworths and Spar, we here at The Anne Hirsch Show celebrate the festive season a little bit earlier than most. And what a festive day it was. So from all of 4 us here in studio: HO HO HO!

Francois website

If Afrikaans rock had a king it would be Francois van Coke. He’s pioneered the road of making Afrikaans kids in skinny jeans cool and he’s done an excellent job. As lead singer of Fokofpolisiekar he shocked conservative South Africa even before he had sung anything! He’s sexy, sweet, incredibly nice and of course a little bit rude, but in a really cute way…we love cute-rude. He’s also the lead singer of Van Coke Kartel, check them out here and follow him on Twitter @FrancoisVanCoke

Paul Snodgrass On The Anne Hirsch Show S01 E09

Episode 9 of The Anne Hirsch Show…wow, I remember when I posted the wildly popular and incredibly hilarious Episode 1 and just look how far we’ve come. I remember when I turned 9, it was a tough day, I slept through my entire birthday party because I was sick from all the sweets I ate at school. When I woke up my ice-cream Barbie cake was completely eaten and all my friends had left…or maybe they never came…anyway it was a hard day…this episode reminds me of that day…you’ll see why.

Paul Snodgrass web

Actor, Radio-Dj and comedian Paul Snodgrass is a ball of pent up energy, that when released on stage is a non-stop barrage of snot spilling, sidesplitting laughs that does not cease till he leaves the stage. If you live in Cape Town you’ve probably met him, if you live in Jo’burg…well, please be safe, it’s dangerous there and if you’ve had the honour of working with him, you’ll know he’s one of the best. Check out more about him here and follow him on Twitter @snoddie.

Pascal Righini (The Plastics) On The Anne Hirsch Show S01 E08

Well, aren’t you looking fetching today! Loving the new vibe and your skin is pratically glowing, it must be from watching The Anne Hirsch Show, so do keep up the good work. Just to clear up a few things that could be causing you unnecessary anguish: There seems to be some confusion regarding sponsorship of The Anne Hirsch Show, so here’s the deal: We don’t have a sponsor. We would love a sponsor. Please sponsor us. Right, now that we’ve got that out of the way, here is Episode 8- which rhymes with crate, rate, nate, bait, Mary-Kate, laminate and ‘hey, The Anne Hirsch Show is great!’.

South African Indie band, The Plastics pay homage to retro-rock and classic pop imagery. The Plastics are a live performance orientated band that have an infectious attitude. Their songs engage you through a blend of interesting dynamics, cheeky lyrics and exuberant energy. Basically they’re gonna be big, real big! I sat down with lead vocalist Pascal Righini to wish him a happy birthday for the 21st of May and talk about their non-recyclable name. Pascal, if you’re reading this, I’m still waiting for my signed copy of your new album, Pyramids. Follow them on Twitter @ThePlastics and check out their website here.
