Cape Town – Three officials from the South African Police Service (Saps) have been suspended for forwarding an email containing a manipulated movie poster featuring the faces of President Jacob Zuma and ANC youth leader Julius Malema.
Police spokesperson Novela Potelwa said three women were suspended pending a disciplinary investigation. They are each facing a complaint of inappropriate behaviour while on duty.
Two of them are clerks from the Woodstock police station and the other is an official from the Paarl-East police station. They were suspended three weeks ago.
The email contains a manipulated poster for the Bad Boys II film. The original poster features Will Smith, firearm in hand, and Martin Lawrence.
In the manipulated version, Smith’s face is replaced with that of Zuma and Malema takes the place of Lawrence. The title was also changed to Bad Boys III, and the firearm in Will Smith’s hand was replaced with a shower head (in Zuma’s hand).
Last month I was privileged enough to be part of the new comedy gig at Stardust Theatrical Dining in Tygervalley. Yes you read correctly, Tygervalley. Now, contrary to popular belief you do not need a passport when visiting this area and you will be happy to know that the ash cloud has cleared up and entrance to this area has opened once again. The line-up on the 14th and 21st of April was amazing, we had Marc Lottering, Rob van Vuuren, Stuart Taylor and many many more. Now, if I go to a great gig, I usually say things like: It was awesome! Or; What funny fun we had! BUT let me assure you these two evening where the best comedy gigs I have ever attended. The last few days have been most entertaining. I truly love this country. Nowhere else in the world can you ‘touch someone on their studio’ and refer to journalists as ‘bloody agents’ who ‘covers rubbish in your pants’ all in one week. If you have been living under a rock, here are the two videos that everyone is ‘status updating’ about. Bless these people and their cotton socks!
The Hilux buddy dog is just too funny…no really, he should have a little permit cause he is so funny. Totally original and great…but even a dog has it’s day (see what I did there), so check out these bloopers. Brilliant. Oh and for those of you that didn’t know, the voice of this old pup is the one and only Chris Forrest, one of SA’s best comedians.
